Are you looking for an "antique" looking paper to recreate an old book, documents, maps, proclamations or diaries ?

Paper is made at Griffen Mill as it used to be before the invention & adoption of the papermachine in the early 1800's.Because each sheet is made by hand the paper has a unique character in terms of surface texture,feel & rattle.The subtle "antique" tones reproduce well on film too!

HINT. Rolls of 2nds with all the characteristic faults of old paper are very good value !

Griffen:Antique toned,general purpose paper made from a blend of cotton & hemp fibres.

Broadsheet is a fine,dull white paper with a cream cast & occasional minor flaws.It is typical of the kind of paper used for printing pamplets & broadsheets in the 18th & 19th centuries.

Akbar Natural: One of the toughest papers in the standard range. Good for making scrolls,notices & proclamations.

Akbar Brown: Like its sister paper,Akbar Natural , but warm brown in colour.

Harrier:This fine laid paper has a high linen content & is slightly flecked. Can be used for making paper case gun cartridges & as fine stationery.

Fernhurst: A general purpose cream toned,laid paper typical of the papers found in many books in the 18th to early 19th centuries.

Early Wove White: A general purpose wove paper made from a blend of fibres. Moderately sized & internally buffered. Similar to wove papers found between 1795 & 1850.
