Griffen Mill's archival handmade paper is made in the traditional European manner from cotton, linen & hemp fibers and is specifically designed to meet the needs of bookbinders & paper conservators.

Made in a range of muted tones varying from antique whites to creams & brown, the papers can provide appropriate & sympathetic matches to old papers.

Every paper is made in several weights and can be handled easily when damp. All papers are internally buffered & neutrally sized to give a pH reading of between 7.3 - 8.4.

For many years we have also been supplying pre beaten pulp in four basic tones for leafcasting. In response to conservators wishing for as pure a product as possible, this unsized pulpboard is made from a blend of hemp & rag cotton fibres. The only additives are calcium carbonate & dyestuff.
