Griffen Mill has worked with wallpaper conservators in Europe, America
and England to provide a variety of handmade papers for wallpaper restoration projects.
There are many different processes that occur in converting a plain sheet of paper
into a printed wallpaper hanging on a wall. Griffen Mill has developed an archival
wall paper that not only can be printed but can be easily handled when damp.
Every project poses it own problems & this is why a dialogue between
papermaker & conservator can be very beneficial.Paper recipes can often
be "tweaked" to beneficial effect.
Below are some examples of historical wallpapers recreated on paper made at Griffen Mill.
Please contact the Mill to discuss your requirements.Prices and volume discounts are similar to our standard papers & we are happy to provide a quotation free of charge.
Please note that we only provide the plain base paper.Printing & hanging must be organised by the customer.
